Six Ways to Celebrate Global Wellness Day on June 9 in Vancouver

There seems to be a special day for almost everything these days, but if you’re going to celebrate something, it should be taking care of yourself, right? Hence, Global Wellness Day, which takes place on June 9 of every year! Luckily, Vancouver is a city that is all about keeping well and happy as a visitor or local. Even luckier is that there are some fantastic ways to celebrate Global Wellness Day while you’re here! Here are my four picks for wellness in the city on June 9:

Get Fit at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver (June 4-9)

Whether your budget extends to staying at the Four Seasons or not, their Global Wellness Week events are open to everyone and are not to be missed! Class offerings will be taught by an all-star roster of Vancouver teachers, and most take place on the hotel’s 4th floor rooftop oasis. There’s also free yoga class being held at lululemon’s Robson Street store on June 9. (Which I’m really looking forward to!) These events fill up fast, so click here for more info and to get your spot!

Go to the Spa

I’ve talked about our spas before, but let me tell you again. They are world-class. Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s Sense Spa is officially celebrating Global Wellness Day with offerings for the whole family! Click here or more info and to RSVP.

Step Up

With the weather having officially kicked into a balmier gear, what better way to spend a Global Wellness Day (or any day!), than outside enjoying our spectacular mountain views and getting some exercise? Keep it light with a sunny stroll (check out these Vancouver scenic walks, including the famous Vancouver Seawall), or kick it up a notch with a trek up the iconic Grouse Grind (go early!) or any of our other beautiful hikes.

Get On the Mat

Grab your mat (and maybe a friend or two!) and check out one of Vancouver’s many yoga studios (check out a particularly fun option here) for a zen filled rest of your day. If you want to be outside, June 1st brings the start of Mat Collective’s outdoor yoga classes, so be sure to check out their schedule for June 9!

Eat Well

Do Something Different

If you’re looking to switch up your Saturday routine, check out these unique to Vancouver activities that are good for the soul. Something that I’m contemplating is heading over to Kitsilano Pool; it just reopened after a renovation, and (even though I’m not a great swimmer!), I love sitting by the pool with a book and not doing much of anything!
